This par 3 plays uphill all the way; greenside bunkers left and right and towards the front of the green can catch tee shots slightly wide of the green surface. Shots hit further right or left will require a delicate touch to get up and down, while tee shots coming up short may come back down the slope a little. On this hole, players cannot see the bottom of the flag from the tee due to the upslope leading up to the green and this can make judgement of distance more difficult, as it is hard to tell if the flag is positioned to the front or the back of the green. Locals will often take note of the flag position on this green when they are playing their tee shot on the second hole and they will store this information for later use. Pro’s Tip: A straight forward uphill par 3 that requires perhaps one more club than the yardage would suggest. Graham Ross Golf Professional.
